Direct flights from Katowice Airport to Margarita are a new position offered by Rainbow Tours. The route is handled with a wide-body Airbus A330-200, the property of Plus Ultra from Spain.
During “Winter 2023/2024,” Rainbow Tours offers six direct long-haul destinations from Katowice Airport, namely: Varadero (Cuba), Cancun (Mexico), Phu Quoc (Vietnam), Puerto Plata (The Dominican Republic), Bangkok (Thailand), and the newest route, i.e. Margarita (Venezuela). “Margarita is a true gem in our exotic offer for winter 2023/2024. The destination is extremely popular; Venezuela attracts not only with Caribbean beaches, perfect for exotic vacation, but also breathtaking nature, which may be discovered with Rainbow Tours during round trips and optional trips. Our tourists appreciate the possibility to begin their vacation at Katowice Airport due to its great location, comfortable for the entire south of Poland. Thanks to the Katowice – Porlamar connection, Venezuela becomes even more available for our clients. We are certain that it will be very popular not only during this season, but also during the ones to come,” said Marta Góral, communication manager Rainbow.
“Together with our partners, i.e. Rainbow Tours and Plus Ultra, we are happy to launch new direct long-haul charter flights from Katowice Airport to Margarita. We are glad that passengers are gradually flying more often on vacation in search of warmth and sun during the winter season. From November to March, we may travel from Katowice Airport to not only Egypt or the Canary Islands, but also to distant parts of the world like Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Thailand, Vietnam, or Venezuela. Rainbow Tours was a huge part of it, as a couple of years ago the travel agency started offering vacation with direct flights to these destinations from our airport. A big interest in this offer shows that we want to and enjoy going on vacation from regional airports, which are usually close to where we live, and which we may quickly and comfortably reach via public transportation or a car. This year, with approx. 2.6 million passengers handled on charter flights, Katowice Airport will strengthen its position as the country leader in this area of traffic,” said Artur Tomasik, the President of the Board of the Upper Silesian Aviation Group (GTL SA), the company managing Katowice Airport.
