Aloft New Orleans reveals vibrant interior renovation

The downtown New Orleans hotel features newly updated guestrooms and public spaces.

NEW ORLEANS, LA – Located in the heart of New Orleans’ Central Business District just steps away from the Caesars Superdome, Smoothie King Center and Historic French Quarter, Aloft New Orleans Downtown announces the completion of an interior renovation including a redesign of the lobby and updates to the guestrooms, guest corridors and fitness center.

“This renovation breathes new life into the Aloft New Orleans Downtown and we can’t wait to showcase the refreshed and modernized spaces that reflect the dynamic spirit of the city,” said Adam Gaudry, general manager. “We are looking forward to welcoming guests both new and returning to our hotel as we head into a busy year here in New Orleans.”

Lobby & Lounge

With design led by Pinnacle South, Aloft New Orleans’ open-concept lobby was overhauled with the relocation of the front desk area, a new seating area and wallcoverings. Previously a round circular reception desk in the center of the lobby, the updated front desk now sits on the edge of the space, creating room for a modular lounge. A custom floor to ceiling mural illustrating New Orleans’ music scene artfully wraps the three walls that sit between the lobby and adjacent lounge area, creating a vibrant and memorable experience for guests as they enter the hotel. Colorful light fixtures and backlit wall features catch the eye while also highlighting the bright blue, gold and magenta hues used throughout the lobby’s refreshed seating areas.

The hotel’s trendy W XYZ Bar & Lounge sits adjacent to the lobby and reception desk, serving craft cocktails, draft beer and light bites. Live music, overhead LED lighting, a pool table and tabletop games lure visitors into the space to dine, socialize or simply enjoy the melodic sounds of the Big Easy. For grab-and-go dining, the 24-hour Re:fuel market offers a range of self-serve options from restaurant-quality breakfast items to coffee and a variety of snacks.

Guestrooms

Ideal for both leisure and business travelers, the hotel’s 188 renovated guestrooms offer a comfortable place to relax following a day exploring the city. Vibrant pinks, oranges and blues from the lobby were pulled into acrylic artwork inset into the headboards, which feature abstract depictions of New Orleans’ signature architecture. Bright teal carpeting and rich wood flooring was installed along with new lounge and desk chairs, reupholstered benches and colorful pillows that reflect Aloft’s eclectic design aesthetic. The bathrooms also received a face-lift with fresh paint and wall coverings, as well as the guest room corridors which boast updated ceiling paints and light fixtures.

 Recreation & Meetings

The hotel’s 24-hour Re:charge Fitness Center, which provides a variety of cardio equipment and free weights, was upgraded with new flooring, wall coverings and paint, offering guests an updated space to maintain their exercise routine on the go. The heated rooftop pool also received new furniture for those looking to relax and soak in the city’s expansive skyline views. Groups staying at the hotel can take advantage of the hotel’s six event rooms outfitted with catering options, AV equipment and high-speed internet, making for seamless hosting and event capabilities.
