Emirates’ launch of Premium Economy in São Paulo
Airline to deploy Premium Economy on its daily flights from 11 December, following the launch of product in Brazil in November.
SAO PAULO – Emirates celebrated the launch of its Premium Economy offering in Brazil, with a tour of one of its enhanced four-class A380 aircraft. The event kicked off at Guarulhos Airport, Terminal 3, after which guests were given a guided tour of the brand new product, as well as the enhanced interior across all cabin classes on board the Emirates A380. Guests took in the highlights of the exclusive Premium Economy experience that awaits travellers.
“We are honoured to celebrate the launch of Emirates Premium Economy in Brazil. Emirates Premium Economy has been available in Brazil from November and we are delighted to deploy the product on all of our daily flights between São Paulo and Dubai from 11 December. We are the only airline offering the Premium Economy experience on direct flights between São Paulo and the Middle East and this is part of our commitment to offering customers more choice when making travel plans,” said Stephane Perard, Emirates’ Country Manager for Brazil and Argentina.
“The experience of flying in Premium Economy has been winning over more and more travellers. It is an important offering for long-distance flights, especially in markets where there is a significant corporate traveler segment and audiences who prefer premium travel, such as in São Paulo. The arrival of this new Emirates Premium Economy offering to the Brazilian market will make the passenger experience on board even better,” said João Pita, Chief Commercial Officer, Guarulhos International Airport.
Premium Economy launched in São Paulo on 19 November, becoming the first destination in Emirates’ Latin American network to offer Premium Economy. The product is currently available on three of its seven weekly flights and will be offered on all of its daily flights between São Paulo and Dubai, starting 11 December. Emirates’ services to Tokyo Narita, a popular destination for Brazilian travellers, will also begin featuring the product from 20 December.
On a four-class Emirates A380, the Premium Economy cabin is located at the front of the main deck with 56 seats laid out in a 2-4-2 configuration. In the cabin, every inch of space anticipates customer needs with a generous seat pitch and width for working and relaxing, and customised features that offer function and convenience like in-seat charging points and a side cocktail table. The experience is rounded off with expertly curated in-flight amenities, an inventive menu, and extensive beverage options. Emirates Premium Economy is deployed on flights EK 261 and EK 262 between Dubai and Brazil.
