Hotel Bardo in Savannah, GA opens in February 2024
The hotel will also consist of a membership and social club – Club Bardo. The Bardo brand will expand to Pittsburgh, PA and Providence, RI, among other high-growth secondary markets, over the next five years.
Savannah’s Historic Mansion on Forsyth Park is being transformed into Hotel Bardo Savannah, a timeless urban resort that will serve as a gathering place and home for Savannah locals and visitors alike when it opens its doors in February 2024 – bringing a new level of luxury and design to the hospitality scene in Savannah. The hotel will serve as the flagship property of new real estate development firm, LEFT LANE Hospitality, that specializes in the transformation of historic iconic properties, sharing a common thread of textured histories and progressive cultural landscapes. Named after the Tibetan term meaning “transition,” Hotel Bardo will encourage guests to meander through each of its highly activated and enthralling spaces, stumbling upon new discoveries with every visit. The 2-acre resort, with 149 guest rooms – 20 being suites; will include highlights such as:
a sprawling 25-meter pool and pool bar, Bar Bibi
a holistic gym and wellness concept & spa – Saltgrass
marquee coastal Italian restaurant and cooking school, Saint Bibiana– led by Executive Chef Derek Simcik; additional standout food and beverage locales including The Courtyard and The Green Room lobby bar
Guests will step beyond the Victorian-Romanesque exterior and into a sprawling resort that offers the design language that brings together old and new: a “riot clash” aesthetic mixing traditional styles seen in Savannah with contemporary touches; a celebration of an unresolved design combination with the use of textured colors and patterns, giving the feeling that the hotel was built up over time. The courtyard, which is an extension of the lobby, surrounded by its tiny gardens, was an intentional addition from the hospitality firm. The oasis-like space serves as the heart of the property and provides a sense of grandeur, has a buzzing, evolving energy throughout the day. Guests can start their mornings reading a newspaper and drinking their coffee; in the afternoon, the courtyard can play host to a wedding party; in the evening, a collection point to enjoy a nightcap and say goodnight.
Hotel Bardo Savannah is located on 700 Drayton Street in Savannah, GA.
