Iberia now accepts UnionPay as a payment method
UnionPay cards are accepted in 181 countries, with billions of cards issued worldwide, and is the global leader in card payments and the preferred payment method in the Chinese and Asian markets.
Iberia now accepts a new payment option for airline customers, UnionPay, one of the most popular payment methods in the world.
Travellers can now book and pay for their flights using their UnionPay card at iberia.com and through the Iberia app. This additional payment method, accessible to all UnionPay holders, is added to Iberia’s current payment options -credit and debit cards, PayPal, Bizum, and bank transfer -, providing security and efficiency to its online customers.
Unionpay International develops the international business of UnionPay, the global payments network with the largest cardholder base in the world. It works with 2,500 entities all over the world and is accepted at more than 70 million establishments in 181 countries. Outside China, UnionPay is accepted at more than 38 million merchants and 1.76 million ATMs.
